Canadian escape artist Dean Gunnarson celebrates yesterday after a successful stunt on a roller coaster at Happy Valley, a popular Shenzhen theme park. Gunnarson was chained to the track when the ride started and took 56 seconds to free himself before the coaster’s cars struck him. The stunt celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival along with the 13th International Magic Festival, which starts at Happy Valley on Sunday. Gunnarson is an international, award-winning escapologist and has performed a series of spectacular, large-scale stunts for television.
