The China/Germany Brand and Design Exhibition, featuring some 600 designs, marked the opening of the creative industry park, one of many subvenues of the fourth ICIF, which opens Friday.
A delegation of 28 of the world’s top designers and Berlin Mayor Harald Wolf attended the opening ceremony.
All the exhibits on display were winners of the 2007 and 2008 German Design Awards. Three forums on the development of the creative industry are also scheduled for the four-day event in the park.
The Shenzhen and Berlin governments will discuss future cooperation in the creative and design industries at the forums, which are seen as platforms for establishing partnerships between the two cities.
The City of Design Creative Industry Park was set up in 2007. Currently 70 well-known creative design companies have offices in the park.
