What is your favorite subject in school? If your school announces plans to introduce a new subject, what would you want it to be?
My favorite subject in school is maths. There is no denying that maths requires high IQ and careful calculation. Unfortunately, I lack both qualities. So why is it my favorite? Because of my maths teacher Mr. Su.
Mr. Su plays a crucial role in my passion for maths. The moment the bell rings, Mr. Su devotes himself to the class, and sometimes he tells us something fun about maths in order to make us relaxed. What’s more, he is a considerate and thoughtful teacher, as he gives us a reasonable amount of homework. In summary, Mr. Su has contributed a lot to my improvement in maths.
If my school plans to introduce a new subject, I hope it is something practical. As far as I’m concerned, we ought to learn useful skills to be better prepared for future jobs, such as cooking, gardening and designing. The more skills we master, the more advantages we will have to compete. As an advertisement puts it: “The most expensive thing now is the person with overall development.”

I like yoga!
I am a student of Shenzhen Foreign Languages School, and I like yoga the best, for we can relax while doing exercise. Our PE lessons are of different kinds, such as basketball, football, table tennis, yoga and so on. Students can choose one to major in, and they can also learn some professional skills in a certain sport.
I chose yoga this term, because it really appeals to me very much. The pressure of studying can seriously affect one’s mental and physical health. It can even prevent students from finishing their assignments efficiently. However, after I started doing yoga, the stress of studying has been reduced by exercise and meditation.
I’d like to take a cooking course if our school is going to introduce another subject. As a lively girl, I want to learn something practical. This kind of course would help girls who have few opportunities to do some cooking and want to improve their cooking skills. A cooking course can teach me how to make cakes, chocolate and other kinds of food.

To be honest, my favorite subject is PE.
You're certain to be sceptical of my attitude toward studies because I didn't choose any main subject.
Considering that studying in class takes up most of our daily time, having PE lessons is a way to relax. We can study more effectively.
As far as I'm concerned, commerce courses are needed in schools.
Needless to say, letting the students study commerce can improve their ability, and leave them better prepared for the fierce competition and the fast development of China¡¯s economy.
Furthermore, commerce is playing an increasingly important role in people¡¯s lives. It can help us lay a solid foundation for our future if we study it in school.
English is my favorite subject in school. I have real fun in English class, because our teacher, Jennifer, always has a way of making us interested in what she says. We always have a good laugh in class and never feel bored.
If my school plans to introduce a new subject, I would like it to be drama.
I’m really into different kinds of plays. I’d be excited if I could learn about plays and act out some roles in famous plays on the stage! So I want this subject in my school.
