Officials quit
Taiwan's "foreign affairs" chief and vice "premier" resigned yesterday over the disappearance of 210 million yuan (US$30 million), which was meant as development aid to lure Papua New Guinea into dropping ties with the Mainland in favor of Taiwan, the local media reported yesterday.
New commissioner
THE Central Government has appointed Lu Shumin commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Macao Special Administrative Region, a press release said yesterday.
