When a veteran press agent, Lee Phillips (Billy Crystal), is charged with the task of reuniting America’s big screen sweethearts, Gwen Harrison (Catherine Zeta-Jones) and Eddie Thomas (John Cusack), for one last public appearance, he knows it’s going to be an uphill battle. After a painful 18-month separation, Thomas has been left emotionally crippled. Philips needs a miracle to pull this off, and Harrison’s sister and personal assistant, Kiki (Julia Roberts), is his only chance. Just as it looks like Lee might actually pull it off, things get complicated in the form of Kiki, who wants to be the therapy that Eddie needs. ▲

Karen Hayes debriefs Palmer regarding the kind of damage a nuclear suitcase bomb is capable of. The initial blast would kill thousands of civilians within a half-mile radius, and the resulting radiation could kill hundreds of thousands. This prompts Palmer to contact Jack, asking him to lead the search for Fayed. <25C4>
