1st free tree burial held

Members of two families bury the ashes of their deceased relatives in a free tree burial ceremony in Jitian Cemetery in Shawan, Longgang District, on Thursday. The Shenzhen Municipal Government has for the first time set aside a free tree burial zone in the cemetery to encourage the public to adopt the burial form as part of efforts to conserve land resources.
