Gan Lin, deputy chief librarian of Shenzhen Library, demonstrates how to use the city's first automatic library machine at an official ceremony in the city¡¯s central library in Futian District yesterday. The machine enables registered readers to access easy self-service borrowing and returning books around the clock. The city government is planning to install about 300 automatic library machines in communities, supermarkets, Metro stations and other places in Shenzhen.
