TEMPERATURES in the city will drop to a minimum of 11 degrees Celsius this week, and most days will be overcast.
The Shenzhen Meteorological Observatory said the minimum of 11 degrees would be recorded Thursday, the coldest day of the week.
It is expected to be cloudy with light to moderate rainfall today and tomorrow. The average temperature Friday and Saturday will be around 11 to 15 degrees Celsius. Sunshine will reappear Sunday, and the temperature will increase gradually, according to the observatory.
“Compared to last week, the temperatures this week will drop by around 5 degrees Celsius,” said Peng Yonggang, an employee of the weather forecasting department of the Shenzhen Meteorological Observatory, yesterday.
Peng said although the lowest temperature last week had reached 11.6 degrees Celsius, the highest temperature was 23 degrees Celsius. For this reason, residents would feel colder this week than last week, but the chilly weather would not last very long.
Rain will be seen for the rest of the week, with relative humidity hovering between 65 and 90 percent. There will be between 5mm and 10mm of rainfall on average.
Peng reminded drivers to drive carefully because of heavy fog in the mornings and evenings, and advised residents to wear suitably warm clothing.
