Lucky passenger feels excited

Han Ximin

WANG ZHE, a manager of Ping An Insurance (Group) Co. of China, became the 20 millionth air traveler to use the Shenzhen airport.

He was leaving for a business trip when he was stopped by airport staff and told had he become the 20 millionth passenger.

Wang received a certificate, a model plane and a free China Southern Airlines ticket. In addition, he received an airport VIP card valued at 19,800 yuan (US$2,605).

“I feel a little bit nervous, but very proud as a resident of Shenzhen after I learned the Shenzhen airport had handled 20 million passengers so far this year,” Wang said.

“In a short period of four years, the Shenzhen airport has doubled its passenger turnover, which is a remarkable success, and I expect the number will reach 30 million soon,” he added.

A loyal customer of China Southern Airlines, Wang often makes business trips to major Chinese cities. “Each time when I landed at the Shenzhen airport, I felt I was at home with the quality service from the staff,” he said.
